Customer Rating: Summary: The Blender Comment: Purchased this as a Christmas gift for my parents (they are always in the kitchen) they were thrilled so I can't for anything more from a product. I will edit post if anything goes wrong after a month. So far so good :)
In the meantime I loved the handy gadget so much that I'm going to buy one. Customer Rating: Summary: Handsome little machine Comment: I can't live without these things, they're so convenient. I only just bought this one so I've only tested it once making soup but it was smooth and easy to wash (in the dishwasher). The only con, which is a minor one, is that it's a bit noisier than my old Phillips (I live in Europe and bought this one for my mother). Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent value stick blender Comment: This is a very good, simple immersion blender. Keep in mind the casing is plastic (although it looks like brushed stainless), however the blade portion is metal and removeable. Perfect for anyone who just needs a good blender without the fancy attachments. Customer Rating: Summary: Broke in less than 10 uses... Comment: Loved all cuisinart products except this one. I can't believe how cheap this one feels and behaved. Broke in less than 10 uses.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not bad but.. Comment: Mine broke after a couple months. I used it a lot to blend drinks with ice so that was probably what killed it. I wouldn't recommend using it on ice.
Useful information: Is stainless steel really stainless?
Choose a good quality sink to avoid problems later. Buy cheap and you will discover that stainless steel can stain and even rust! Mild acids such as vinegar will promote rust in stainless steel where the nickel content is low. Stronger acids such as those used by photo processors will have a detrimental effect on all stainless steels.
