Comment: Works great, makes delicious bread. I would recommend looking for bread recipes on Allrecipes.com- then you can read the ratings of what works good. My first loaf was a recipe from the manual and it didn't work at all- not sure if it was the recipe or user error, but now it's working great. Just make sure to check dough consistency after the knead cycle to see if you need to add flour or water- the weather can change the dough.

Comment: Why would anyone put this color combination on an appliance?? You can not read any of the controls. Light yellow with white lettering, what were they thinking?? Anyhow opened the box took out the machine. Went to try and use it and the kneading paddle did not fit flat in the baking pan. It sat about 1/4" too high. During the kneading cycle the paddle surely would have wound up in the dough ball. Well back to the store with this one!

Summary: Grey stuff around the shaft
Comment: I used my breadmachine for 5 months, everything worked fine. The problem started last week, after kneadling the bread dough, there was some grey stuff found inside at the bottom of the pan, around the shaft. I guess it is lubricating oil. The paddle look fine to me, no scratch. I didn't cook the dough which had touched the gray stuff. I didn't use my breadmachine since then.

Comment: We bake a loaf about every 5 days, usually basic white or honey wheat. We've also made herb breads, seed breads and pizza dough. This is our first and only bread machine so we've nothing to compare it to, but seems great to us. The loaves are beautiful and almost always perfect - we've only had one loaf that didn't turn out (don't know why). There's a timer that lets us set it up the night before and wake to the smell of fresh bread baking... mmmm...... The paddle does tend to take a largish chunk of bread with it when the loaf comes out of the pan. The writing is hard to read as others have said, but we use the default setting 95% of the time so we don't have to read anything - just hit start. For an inexpensive breadmaker, it's really great. We've had ours 7 months.
